How to make your bedroom more cosy and comfortable

The bedroom is for sure the most important room in your home. In most cases, this is the room where we spend the most time in our lives (don’t forget that all of us need between 7 and 9 hours of good night sleep!).

This is why it should be extremely comfortable and cosy. But how to turn a simple room into an oasis of rest and relaxation (read more in Home-Blogger.com)?

Add a tall plant in some of the corners

Tall plants (palm trees, dracena, ficuses and many others) always create a feeling of cosiness, especially if you place a tiny coffee table and an armchair under them.

This is a very good way to create a comfortable and pleasant corner in your bedroom, where you can relax with an interesting book in your hands.

Accent walls are always a good idea

You could paint your bedroom in a pale shade of blue or purple to make the room a better place to relax and recharge your energy. However, creating an accent wall will make it even cosier.

You could add a wall in graphite colour, for example, behind your bed. This is a great background if you want to place paintings on the wall – they will always look better on the grey wall.

Wooden flooring

Laying a wooden floor is a great way to make the room much more comfortable in every respect.

As a rule, wooden floors will always help you keep the room warmer much easier in winter and will always absorb most of the sound, especially if you cover some part of the floor with a nice carpet.

Of course, you will be able to enjoy a much more quiet room, which, on the other hand, is a great basis for a good and recovering sleep or rest.

Light control

Your bedroom will never be really comfortable, if you don’t have full control on how much light enters through the window. The only way to do that is by installing some good quality curtains.

This is very important because there will be probably many cases in which you may want to have some rest during the day (after a heavy day in the office, probably).
